Magician Lite is the perfect platform for K12 education, offering everything from a wide variety of kits, intuitive software to complete curriculum and themed competitions for K12 classrooms.
Dobot Meets World Robot Association 2019 for the First Time
The international of World Robot Association 2019 is categorized into Regular Challenge like smart driving and smart home, Open Challenge like smart governance and smart workplace, and Advanced Robotics Challenge-a robot version of the autonomous operation of gardening in a greenhouse.
In honor of this year’s theme “Smart Cities,” Dobot presented its Magician Lite-powered garbage classification demo and smart gift shop demo to thousands of WRO participants for the first time. These two demos are designed to raise young people’s interest in environmental activities and encourage them to create smarter, greener cities together, which are perfect for this occasion.
New Themes Each Year with Dobot Robotics Competition
About 60 percent of today’s unfilled manufacturing jobs is because of a shortage of proficient applicants in STEM skills. Indicators are that the worker deficit could rise to over 2 million unfilled jobs in the next decade. One way to stop this “STEM crisis” is to get more kids interested in pursuing STEM careers, and robotics competitions are a great way to do that.
Since 2017, more than 200 Dobot competitions have been held, involving over 5,000 students and teachers from the world. Each year, in light of what people are most concerned about, Dobot rolls out new themes for the competition hoping to inspire more students to take the future universal challenges head-on. For the year 2020, a new theme “Dobot Ecohero Challenge” will be launched in December for participants across the globe in 2020. “Dobot Ecohero Challenge” is a mock garbage classification powered by Magician Lite. It is designed to foster students’ creative thinking skills while giving them opportunities to think outside the box.
“WRO’s theme this year is aligned with Dobot’s vision for robotics competition: confidence, creativity and cooperation. WRO 2019 not only makes a great platform for Dobot to show what it can bring to the table for the robotics competition community but also gives Dobot opportunities to exchange ideas and experience in designing robotics competitions with its fellow organizers.” Said Jolene Fu, Director of Dobot Competition.
